LWB-16M/64 Optical Wiring System
Commentary & Communication System

Feature 3: Head Amplifier Control

The following control is possible on the head amplifiers for microphone input channels implemented in the commentary, remote, and audio boxes:

  • Control of Head Amplifier Parameters: +48-volt phantom power on/off, -25-dB pad on/off, limiter on/off, gain (from 17 to 72 dB, when pad off)
  • Remote Control: If routed to an audio output channel within the same system, the head amplifier can be controlled remotely from the LWB unit to which that output channel belongs.
  • Volume Control of Talk Channel: The talk channel is a channel split after the MIC Line head amplifier of the microphone input channel. Therefore there is no head amplifier for each talk channel and a change to the MIC Line head amplifier gain will also apply to the talk channel. Talk channel’s volume adjustment should be done at the monitor channel side.
  • Clip Hold: Audio box’s microphone input channels support clip hold function (this does not apply to commentary box’s MIC Line).
